ARCHITECT named ikon.5 architects of Princeton, N.J. number four in its listing of top designers in the United States in its September issue. Each year ARCHITECT names the top 50 architecture firms in the U.S and designates a select group of top designers. ARCHITECT is the official publication of the American Institute of Architects, AIA.

The ranking is based on an independent, juried submission of the firm's work, national prestigious awards received and the firm's design philosophy.

ikon.5 architects has garnered many design awards for its projects including numerous awards from the AIA, the Chicago Athenaeum and the Society of American Registered Architects. Recent projects to be awarded honors include the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University from both the Louisiana State AIA and the Baton Rouge AIA. The award was given for the inventive use of ceramic-coated translucent mirrored glass. Also, the McGee Art Pavilion at the New York State College of Ceramics was awarded an AIA New York Chapter Merit Award for its imaginative use of terra cotta tubes as a metaphor for ceramic sculpture.

Publications of ikon.5's works include Architectural Record, Green Business Quarterly, College and Universities: Educational Spaces, American Libraries, and the New York Times among many others.

ikon.5 architects are known for their award-winning designs for museums, higher education, libraries, performing arts and corporate offices. Their national practice is based in Princeton, N.J.
